Online shopping is not yet widely used in the Philippines but direct selling is. Direct Selling is Face-to-Face selling. A way of selling that engaged the senses of the buyers wherein costumers can see and hear, smell, shake hands and touch the representatives as well as their products in a place where they are most comfortable with. In the office, at home, a coffee shop or a cafe can be the venue to share about the products.
Almost all Filipinos know about the products that are delivered at home through a representatives, consultants and distributors of any products own by many Direct Selling Association.
Why Direct Selling?
In the office where workers don’t have much time to go shopping, people believe that it only takes a glance in a brochure to order a product from their favorite lines to have the trendy shoes, fashionable dresses, famous jeans and fancy accessories and bags.
At home, mothers prefer to buy stuff: from cosmetics, apparel, intimate apparel, fragrances, toiletries, plastic home products, water purifiers to food supplements from a direct selling distributors rather than going to a department stores. In this way, they still have their time and the time for their children and husbands.
Direct selling is definitely the best way to grab an extra earnings for most Filipino women and the best way to buy something without going to the malls.
